Minister of Foreign Affairs chairs MBMA Board of Trustees meeting

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, extended his utmost thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for the unlimited support exerted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its diplomatic and consular missions, where it enables them to perform their duties in serving the interests of the Kingdom of Bahrain and achieving its goals at the regional and international levels.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, when presiding over the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, expressed his thanks and appreciation for the Academy’s efforts in providing training programs for preparing and qualifying national diplomatic cadres, and refining their knowledge and professional and personal skills, as well as its contributions to strengthening international relations with brotherly and friendly countries, especially in the field of diplomatic training and exchange of experiences.

The Minister also praised the Academy’s success in organizing the second edition of the International Diplomats Program “Dhiyafa” over a period of two weeks, by hosting diplomats from Asian Cooperation Dialogue countries and briefing them on the rich cultural and civilizational heritage of the Kingdom of Bahrain, its diplomatic values, and the pioneering democratic, economic and social achievements it is witnessing in light of the comprehensive development process of His Majesty the King.

During the meeting, MBMA Director General, H.E. Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, gave a brief presentation on the most prominent achievements of the Academy during the first quarter of this year, and its development plan for the second quarter, including events, activities and training programs to raise the level and efficiency of young diplomatic cadres, and to develop their professional and analytical capabilities, their political and legal culture, and expand their linguistic awareness, in line with the latest regional and global changes.

The members of the MBMA Board of Trustees expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Academy for its efforts in preparing national diplomatic cadres and providing them with scientific and professional skills and expertise, in the context of expanding the Kingdom of Bahrain’s foreign policy and its principles.
