MBMA organizes lecture on “Financial and Administrative Control Works”

Out of the keenness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to keep abreast of developments, and in line with the future outlook of the importance of familiarity with topics related to financial and administrative auditing, Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, in cooperation with the Office of Financial and Administrative Oversight, organized today, Thursday, March 10, 2022, a virtual lecture entitled ” “Financial and administrative control work”, which in turn targets heads of sectors and directors of departments.  

The lecture was presented by the Director of the Administrative Control Department, Mahmood Hashem Mahmood, and the Director of the Regular Control Department, Basma Abdulrahman Al-Ahmad.  

The two speakers discussed a brief overview of the work, tasks and objectives of the Financial and Administrative Oversight Bureau, and the constitutional and legal reference for the establishment of this Bureau, reviewing the entities subject to its oversight, and its affiliated professional organizations.  

They also referred to the nature of oversight exercised by the Bureau, including regulatory oversight, performance oversight, administrative oversight, information systems oversight, and investigative auditing.  

At the end of the lecture, the areas of administrative oversight and its stages were reviewed, the stages of preparing the supervisory report, and the importance of implementing the SAB’s recommendations, which would enhance the efficiency of government spending and improve its services to the citizens.
