Launch of “Certificate in Diplomatic Studies” program this evening, with participation of 34 employees of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government entities

Today, Sunday, June 7, 2020, the launching of the first version of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies program “Certificate in Diplomatic Studies” via visual communication, with the participation of 34 employees from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and government entities in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Over a period of nine weeks participants in the program will have an exceptional opportunity to benefit from a variety of experiences and knowledge, provided by a group of leading specialists, academics and diplomatic figures from inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain through 65 interactive lectures and an intensive workshops through visual communication technology, in the fields of politics, diplomacy and international affairs.

This program is consistent with the contemporary international trend of regional and international academic institutions to continue to provide and transfer knowledge through modern communication tools, and in harmony with the goals of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies through which it seeks to highlight the concept of diplomacy as an effective tool in the advancement of societies and the definition of diplomatic heritage of the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

On this occasion, the Executive Director of Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, Dr. Shaikha Muneera Khalifa Alkhalifa, stated that the Academy begins today a new stage in the world of virtual training, through the Certificate in Diplomatic Studies that comes within a package of programs and lectures – via Visual Communication – which brings the concept of diplomacy closer to the various components of society as one of the soft forces affecting the international scene.

She added that the Academy started since the transformation to the digital world, and according to the directives of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, to redesign the specialized programs and courses to suit the requirements of the current situation. We have received hundreds of requests to participate in the program since its announcement, which confirms the interest of the community and its awareness of the importance of diplomacy, it also reflects the extent of its overlap as a vital tool in various sectors in the Kingdom.

The “Certificate in Diplomatic Studies” program continues until August 6 and gives its passers the basic skills and knowledge that fall under the concept of Bahraini and International Diplomacy.
