IDP participants learn about Bahrain history and culture

The Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies held its first day of activities of the second edition of the International Diplomats Program (IDP) on Sunday, which is a program that combines academic and practical aspects in various political, economic, cultural, social and sports fields, highlighting the Kingdom’s status on the world map.

The first day of the program included the visit of international diplomats to the headquarters of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, where they were received by its Director General, H.E. Dr. Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa and a number of graduates from the Junior Diplomats Program.

Dr. Muneera gave an introductory lecture on the role of the Academy in the field of diplomatic training, followed by a tour around the Academy’s headquarters, which included its various facilities such as the diplomatic library, academic lecture halls and language courses.

The international diplomats also made a field visit to the Bahrain National Museum, the Bahrain National Theater, and the Arts Center, where the employees of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities showcased the entire museum.

The Acting Director of Studies and Evaluation at MBMA, H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saleh Mohammed, delivered a lecture to the diplomats related to the history of Bahrain.

The international diplomats were also briefed on the Kingdom’s experience in preparing the first Formula 1 race in the Middle East at the Bahrain International Circuit.
