Foreign Minister meets “Diplomatic Fellowship Programme” participants


Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, today received a number of diplomats participating in the first edition of the “Diplomatic Fellowship Programme”, in the presence of the Undersecretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs, Ambassador Tawfeeq Ahmed Al Mansoor and the Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, Ambassador Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa.

During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the diplomats participating in the programme, and praised their keenness and interest in acquiring the needed diplomatic skills to work in diplomatic missions abroad for the service of the country and its citizens.  He also highlighted the importance of diplomatic training to enhance the capabilities required by diplomatic work and pointed out the need to acquire experience and skills along the way, wishing them continued success.

The participants expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Minister on his ambitious directives to train and qualify the Ministry’s staff, stressing their keenness to carry out their responsibilities in a way that would serve the Kingdom and its people.
