First session of (Ambassadors Council) program, within second edition of (Academic Councils) series, presented by MBMA

The Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies launched, on Thursday evening, April 7, 2022, the second edition of the series (Academic Councils), which was held virtually, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, His Excellency Ambassador Fouad Sadiq Al Baharna, in addition to a number of senior officials and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In its first session of the Council of Ambassadors, the program hosted His Excellency the Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Ambassador Abdelhamid Ahmed Khoja, and the session was moderated by the Head of the Arab Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Ahmed Al-Tarifi, where His Excellency the Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Kingdom of Bahrain presented many thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Director General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, for hosting and providing an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas.

His Excellency Ambassador Abdelhamid Ahmed Khoja reviewed Algerian diplomacy, the history of Algeria, and the role of Arab and Asian countries in Algeria’s independence from French colonialism. Algerian is at the top of the concerns of the daily work of the consulates, stressing that the matter of the Algerian President is clear, which is that the Algerian community is at the fore in the daily work of the consulates, noting that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad put the concerns of the Algerian community at the fore, noting that he had recently appointed a special envoy to His Excellency the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the national community abroad, along with the General Directorate of Consular Affairs and Expatriate, providing his Excellency with important advice for diplomats on diplomatic work.

At the conclusion of the session, Ambassador Fouad Sadiq Al Baharna expressed his pride in the relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, stressing the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to strengthen and consolidate bilateral relations and advance them to broader levels in various fields, noting that coordination has been established between the two sides, and the establishment of the Parliamentary Group for Algeria-Bahrain Friendship, noting that the establishment of this group will be a new impetus for the course of relations between the two countries.

It is worth noting that the “Academy Councils” program is divided into two councils, each containing dialogue sessions: the Ambassadors Council: which includes a series of meetings based on the basics and elements of diplomatic work and centered on enriching experiences with ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Diplomatic Council: which hosts the heads of political sectors at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to shed light on the sectors’ vision and strategy, in addition to the role and tasks of the heads of offices in consolidating diplomatic relations.
