The Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies held virtually today, the first session of “Diplomatic Majlis”, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.

The session was moderated by the Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in the presence of a number of employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs appreciated the exceptional efforts made by the Academy in organising this event, which is led by Dr. Shaikha Muneera, expressing his great pride in the valuable insights shared by the diplomats. He also highlighted in this regard the importance of embracing authentic Bahraini culture, especially for diplomats as it cements true Bahraini morals, which aids in being able to form various relationships in countries they are posted at.

“Diplomatic Majlis” hosts diplomats of the Kingdom of Bahrain on posts abroad and diplomats returning to the Kingdom, with the aim to enhance communication with all employees from inside and outside Bahrain, and to provide a platform to benefit from their experiences, difficulties, obstacles and the challenges that they faced during their tenure and the period of transition to the Ministry, in addition to exchanging tips that ensure a smooth transition phase.

It is worth noting that MBMA organises the “MBMA Majalis” programme throughout Ramadan, and it includes the “Diplomatic Majlis”, which seeks to achieve a number of outcomes, most notably: allocating the space for young diplomats to express the challenges and difficulties they face during their posting, means to cope and adapt with this transition, the tools needed to form a network of relations in the host country and promote the Kingdom of Bahrain abroad. The programme is also considered as a unique platform for exchanging ideas and experiences and strengthening communication with members of the diplomatic corps, especially youth.
