At conclusion of second edition of “Dhiyafa” program for MBMA .. FM: Strengthening friendship and civilized communication with countries of Asian Dialogue

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, affirmed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to consolidate the bonds of cooperation, friendship, cultural and civilized communication with Asian countries and various countries of the world on the basis of friendship and mutual respect, within the framework of the wise vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, regarding the consolidation of the principles of tolerance, dialogue and peaceful coexistence among peoples of different civilizations, cultures and religions.

At the closing ceremony of the second edition of the “Dhiyafa” program, organized by the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies over a period of two weeks, the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his appreciation for the Academy’s efforts in hosting twenty diplomatic personalities from the member states of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue Forum, and informing them closely of the Kingdom’s rich cultural and historical heritage, high-end diplomatic principles, and the comprehensive and sustainable development, civilized, and democratic achievements it witnesses.

His Excellency praised the support of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to implement the international diplomats program “Dhiyafa” since its launch within the Fikra competition for government innovation four years ago, leading to the completion of its second edition in conjunction with the Kingdom’s presidency of the Dialogue Asian cooperation this year, continuing its role as a founding and active member of the forum for twenty years, and strengthening its honorable presence in various regional and international organizations.

His Excellency stressed his pride in the success of this program, with the follow-up of the Academy and its creative young diplomatic competencies, in providing a civilized atmosphere for constructive communication between Asian diplomatic delegations, and the exchange of experiences, knowledge and viewpoints among them regarding the current developments, praising their interest and keenness to laying the foundations for regional and global peace, in a manner that meets the aspirations of friendly peoples for security, prosperity and sustainable development.

For her part, the Director General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, Her Excellency Dr. Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, thanked and appreciated the Minister of Foreign Affairs for his support and interest for the Academy and its training programs that enhanced the success of the “Dhiyafa” program in achieving its goals in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue, by expanding the horizons of dialogue and sustainable development partnership between friendly countries towards building an “Asian community” of countries, appreciating the cooperation of government and private institutions and civil society in informing diplomats of the Kingdom’s achievements, culture, economic and social progress, its efforts in addressing the Covid-19 pandemic, and facilitating their follow-up to the Bahrain Grand Prix for Formula 1 Gulf Air, and other events.

At the end of the ceremony, the international diplomats participating in the “Dhiyafa” program expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain for their kind hospitality and the facilities provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies in terms of integrated services, and advanced theoretical and practical programs that enriched their experiences in diplomatic work, expressing their admiration for what the Kingdom of Bahrain is witnessing in terms of a comprehensive democratic and development renaissance, tourist and cultural landmarks, great respect for women’s rights and for religious, ethnic and cultural diversity, wishing the Kingdom and its people continued progress and prosperity.
