On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Special Representative of HM the King, attended the graduation ceremony of the second cohort of the Foundational Diplomatic Programme at the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies (MBMA).
HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak expressed pride in the initiative of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to establish the academy, which is celebrating the graduation of the 2023–2024 cohort of the Foundational Diplomatic Programme.
HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak expressed appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for deputising him to attend the ceremony. He highlighted the academy’s role in preparing skilled diplomats to represent Bahrain effectively, supporting the Kingdom’s active contributions to security, peace, and development regionally and internationally.
HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak commended the efforts of Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, in strengthening Bahrain’s foreign policy and enhancing the capabilities of the ministry’s personnel.
HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak also recognised the contributions of Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of the Academy, in aligning its training programmes with evolving diplomatic practices to equip Bahraini diplomats with the skills needed to safeguard national interests and foster international relations.
The ceremony included a keynote address by Dr. Al Zayani, who expressed gratitude to HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its initiatives. The minister highlighted the academy’s role as a centre of excellence in diplomacy and training.
HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak honoured the top graduates from the three cohorts, commending their success and excellence in the academy’s training programmes, and proceeded to present graduation certificates to the 84 diplomats.
