Directorares

Training and Languages Directorate

The Training and Languages Directorate is responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive, innovative training programs. It ensures continuous improvement in training quality by regularly submitting performance reports and evaluating training needs to develop an annual plan that aligns with the highest standards. The directorate emphasizes modern, dynamic training to enhance diplomats’ skills, knowledge, and abilities, with a strong focus on multi-tiered training guided by the Diplomatic Examination and Training Reference Framework (DETRF) established by the academy. Its primary objective is to prepare well-rounded diplomats capable of navigating the complexities of modern international relations.

In collaboration with internationally recognized institutions, the directorate ensures that its training programs meet international quality standards. It also oversees the certification process, ensuring compliance with accreditation and quality assurance protocols.

The directorate delivers training in a variety of foreign languages, including Chinese, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, and the core languages of Arabic and English, in alignment with the kingdom’s global engagement objectives. Future plans include further expansion of language offerings. Additionally, the directorate focuses on enhancing diplomats’ language proficiency, communication skills, and specialized translation abilities.

Studies and Evaluation Directorate

The Studies and Evaluation Directorate oversees the competitive examination and assessment processes to identify and nurture top talent, supervising all stages of diplomatic evaluations. The directorate also conducts assessments of the Academy’s training programs, analyzing return on investment (ROI) to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with evolving needs. It ensures that all training programs meet accreditation and quality assurance standards.

In addition, the directorate manages knowledge resources, including the development and publication of manuals, guides, handbooks, and the maintenance of the Academy’s library and information services. By ensuring efficient service delivery, it meets the needs of both internal and external stakeholders. The directorate also engages in workforce planning, tracking staffing data, identifying capability gaps, and developing strategies to build essential skills within the organization.

Furthermore, the directorate maintains a unified database that consolidates all evaluations, ROI measurements, reports, studies, and research publications. It is responsible for setting strategic objectives and overseeing the development and implementation of plans, programs, and projects aimed at achieving these goals. The directorate establishes performance targets for its staff, monitors progress, and provides feedback to ensure the effective attainment of these objectives.

Academy Affairs Directorate

The Academy Affairs Directorate ensures the efficient operation of the academy by providing logistical and technical support. It manages premises maintenance and oversees the creation of social media content to highlight the academy’s news and achievements.

The directorate also supervises relations with internal and external entities, fostering partnerships and cooperative agreements that advance the academy’s mission. It is responsible for organizing a variety of events to promote knowledge exchange and professional development. In addition, the directorate plays a key role in executing council and committee decisions, ensuring that strategic initiatives are implemented effectively.
Moreover, the Academy Affairs Directorate manages the academy’s financial affairs, including budgeting, procurement, and expenditures. Through its efforts, the directorate supports the academy in maintaining high standards of operational excellence and achieving its objectives.
