MBMA launches first version of International Diplomats Program

 The opening ceremony of the first version of the International Diplomats Program took place at Bahrain Fort.

The program, which is organized by the Mohammed Bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Diplomatic Academy (MBMA), hosts a number of international diplomats from all over the world, with the objective to expand international cooperation between Bahrain and the world.

MBMA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, expressed her utmost thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, for their interest in  following up with the program and devoting all that would support its implementation and transform it from an idea into reality.

She also praised the program of the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister and its pivotal role in qualifying national cadres who are considered assets in contributing to the development of the Kingdom.

Dr. Shaikha Muneera noted that the program aims to shed light on the Kingdom’s value and status on the international arena, by inviting a number of international diplomats nominated by their Ministries of Foreign Affairs who are interested in the region’s affairs and history.
She also pointed out that the program won first place in the Government Innovation Competition (Fikra), which is considered a great honor to be able to deliver an integrated program that strengthens the Kingdom’s growing partnerships with international countries, and to further the Kingdom’s position as a thriving civilization model in the region.

The CEO of MBMA noted that the program’s outcomes aims to review the work, projects and objectives of the Kingdom at all levels related to politics, economy, culture and environment, which is conducted through a wide range of workshops, lectures and field visits to the Kingdom’s main institutions and bodies.
In addition, the project included meeting senior officials to learn more about Bahrain’s experiences in various fields in order to consolidate the Kingdom’s vision and its future achievements and objectives.

She also detailed how the program’s overall context is not promotional, it is rather considered an introduction about Bahrain, and how it was able to assume its high and prestigious ranks at all levels, as the Kingdom has attained many achievements since joining the United Nations in 1971 as a full member, and ever since, it has continued to achieve its goals in the region, thus consolidating its position in support of international security and stability.
Dr. Shaikha Muneera noted that the Kingdom has always been keen to continue to achieve its development visions, as it is reflected by its relentless efforts amongst the world. She also mentioned that the program will last for two weeks.

Dr. Shaikha Muneera pointed out that this program is considered the first to be organized by the Academy on an international scale, and that the Academy is devoted to highlight its diplomatic and cultural role to all nations, following the Kingdom’s historic role in maintaining constructive cooperation and vital partnerships with the countries of the world.
