His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee, praised the pivotal role of Bahraini youth in promoting the progress, advancement, and prosperity of the country in light of the comprehensive and sustainable development process under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his best congratulations to the creative Bahraini youth on the occasion of celebrating their National Day, praising their active participation within the “Bahrain Team” in supporting development and civilization achievements, and raising the name of the Kingdom of Bahrain high in regional and international forums as a model in sustainable development, respect for human rights, and wise diplomacy committed to upholding the values of peace, solidarity, and dialogue among civilizations and religions.
He expressed his pride in the success story of Bahraini youth, and their pioneering achievements in various political, diplomatic, economic, social, cultural, media, and sports fields thanks to the royal patronage, the directions of the government headed by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the initiatives of the Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, with the support of the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Chairman of the Management of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
His Excellency praised the national initiatives in support of youth empowerment, most notably the Prime Minister’s Program for the Development of National Cadres, the Hope Fund to Support Youth Projects and Initiatives, the qualitative programs of the Ministry of Youth Affairs in partnership with national institutions, and the pioneering global initiatives such as the launch of the King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment to achieve the sustainable development goals in its fifth edition, the launch of the global network supporting youth competitiveness “Hope Network”, the establishment of the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance, and its enlightenment programs to enhance the role of youth in spreading the culture of peace, culminating in the adoption by the United Nations of its initiative on the adoption of the “International Day of Peaceful Coexistence”.
On the Bahraini Youth Day, the Minister extended a greeting of appreciation and pride to the youth cadres working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic and consular missions abroad, who embody with their competence and sincerity the spirit of Bahraini diplomacy and its principles that enhance security and peace, protect human rights, and support sustainable development, and continue their mission in integration with ancient national experiences and partnership with international institutions in the context of the Ministry’s commitment, through the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, to prepare a promising generation of diplomatic and administrative cadres and motivate them to give and innovate in a way that serves the interests of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its elevation.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee Dr. Al Zayani stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is proceeding with its initiatives, programs, and advanced plans to empower Bahraini youth of both sexes, refine their skills, and develop their scientific, cognitive, and professional capabilities, in light of the government’s program (2023-2026), the National Plan for Human Rights (2022-2026), the National Youth Strategy, and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, and support their participation with confidence and responsibility for a brighter future in which the country and all its people enjoy progress and prosperity in a world where peace, solidarity, and justice for present and future generations.
