Second edition of IDP Dhiyafa program launched

Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies (MBMA) will launch the second edition of the International Diplomats Program (IDP) “Dhiyafa” on March 19 – April 1.

The idea of this year’s edition revolves around the Asia Cooperation Dialogue themed “Post-Pandemic, Green Recovery in the Health Field”, which is chaired by Bahrain with the participation of 20 diplomats from member states in the region.

It continues the introductory and promotional nature of the first edition, which was launched in 2019, and aims to show the position of the Kingdom on the world map, and to promote the fruitful cooperation and the vital and strategic partnership with various ministries of foreign affairs and diplomatic institutes and academies of many countries.

IDP aims for its participants to understand the rich history and culture of Bahrain and present a platform for exchanging ideas and building connections with diplomats of various backgrounds.

The program covers a spectrum of activities ranging from lectures and interactive sessions with former Bahraini diplomats, high-level officials within the government, the private sector and within civil society.

The program was the winner of the 2018 Government Competition Fikra, and diplomats from 18 countries participated in the first edition.
