Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, extended thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their support to the ministry its diplomatic and consular missions, which enables them to perform their duties in serving the interests of the Kingdom of Bahrain and achieving its goals at the regional and international levels.
Dr. Al Zayani made the statement as chaired Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies (MBMA) Board of Trustees’s meeting.
He commended the academy’s efforts to provide training programs for preparing and qualifying national diplomatic cadres, and refining their knowledge and professional and personal skills, as well as its contributions to strengthening international relations with other countries, especially in the field of diplomatic training.
He lauded praised the academy’s success in organizing the second edition of the International Diplomats Program “Dhiyafa” over a period of two weeks, by hosting diplomats from Asian Cooperation Dialogue countries and briefing them on Bahrain’s rich heritage , diplomatic values, and the pioneering democratic, economic and social achievements it is witnessing in light of the comprehensive development process of His Majesty the King.
During the meeting, MBMA Director General, . Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, gave a brief presentation, outlining the academy’s most importantachievements during the first quarter of this year.
She highlighted the academy’s development plan for the second quarter, including events, activities and training programs to raise the level and efficiency of young diplomatic cadres, and to develop their professional and analytical capabilities, their political and legal culture, and expand their linguistic awareness, in line with the latest regional and global changes.
The members of the MBMA Board of Trustees expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Academy for its efforts in preparing national diplomatic cadres and providing them with scientific and professional skills and expertise, in the context of expanding the Kingdom of Bahrain’s foreign policy and its principles.
