The Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies concluded today a series of workshops within the training programs for diplomats.
The former Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion or Belief and Member of the Bahraini-British Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr. Rehman Chishti and in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa took part.
Chishti touched on a number of important themes in his lectures, including the ability to understand and benefit from the concept of soft power to influence foreign policy.
He also reviewed his personal experience in practicing freedom of religions and belief and their application in parliamentary work and briefed the participants about the foreign policy of the United Kingdom and the British Parliament and means to construct policies.
He stresse the importance of investing in future leaders by enriching them with all the skills required for diplomatic work.
The Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies organizes multiple workshops within its training programs throughout the year that target administrators and diplomats at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the participation of select speakers, academics and experts.
