In the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Academy held today the closing ceremony of the fifth edition of the International Diplomats Program “Dhiyafa”, which is organized annually with the aim of enhancing diplomatic cooperation and cultural exchange between the Kingdom of Bahrain and other countries.

The ceremony was attended by a number of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a number of Ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and representatives of the program’s partners from the public and private sectors.
In a speech on the occasion, HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs congratulated the Director General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies on the success of the International Diplomats Program (Dhiyafa) in its fifth edition, wishing the Academy and those in charge of the program further success.
HE the Minister expressed his pride and appreciation for the participation of a number of diplomats from various countries and their acquaintance with the achievements of Bahrain, its cultural heritage, its development renaissance, and the values and principles established in the Kingdom that emphasize the importance of coexistence, tolerance, and respect for others, pointing out that the tasks and responsibilities assigned to any diplomat is to contribute to making peace, security, prosperity, and stability.
In her speech during the ceremony, Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa expressed her thanks and appreciation for the unlimited support that the Academy’s programs receive from His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, stressing that this support has had a great impact on the success of previous editions of the program.
She pointed out that the “Dhiyafa” program is an international platform that brings together diplomats from different continents of the world, which contributes to expanding the horizons of cooperation and sustainable partnership between diplomatic academies and ministries of foreign affairs in the participating countries.


For their part, the participating diplomats expressed their gratitude to the Kingdom of Bahrain for the good hosting and excellent organization of the program, stressing that this experience will contribute significantly to developing their skills and enhancing their understanding of Bahraini culture, which will reflect positively on their diplomatic career.
This year’s program included a mix of academic and practical sessions, where diplomats participated in workshops, lectures, and discussion sessions, in addition to exploratory field visits to the Kingdom’s tourist and archaeological attractions, which gave them the opportunity to learn about the landmarks of the developmental, civilizational, and cultural renaissance in Bahrain.
Launched in 2018 as one of the winning projects of the Fikra Government Innovation Competition, the program has since hosted diplomats from around the world, reflecting Bahrain’s commitment to promoting intercultural dialogue and understanding.
