Members of diplomatic corps take legal oath before Foreign Minister

A swearing-in ceremony was held today during which a number of diplomatic corps members took the legal oath before the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. 

The ceremony was held in the presence of Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Acting Undersecretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs, Ambassador Khalil Yaqoub Al-Khayat, Director General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, Dr. Shaikha Munira bint Khalifa Al Khalifa and Director General of Foreign Ministry Affairs, Ambassador Talal Abdulsalam Al Ansari. 

Members of the diplomatic and consular corps have taken the legal oath, in accordance with the provisions of Article 7 of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law. 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the diplomatic staff who have joined the diplomatic corps and stressed that this great oath would place huge duties, tasks and responsibilities on everyone, and renew allegiance to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. 

Dr. Zayani praised the diplomatic efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen the Kingdom of Bahrain’s relations with the brotherly and friendly countries, protect its interests abroad and serve the citizens and provide them with all their needs. He congratulated the diplomats on Bahrain Diplomatic Day, wishing them every success. 

For their part, the members of the diplomatic and consular corps took pride in assuming such national responsibility, appreciating the keenness and continuous support of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and his constant follow-up and care for all  employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to serve the foreign policy of the Kingdom of Bahrain. 

They also stressed their keenness to perform their duties with utmost honesty and dedication to serve the Kingdom of Bahrain and its interests.
