MBMA organizes dialogue session to celebrate golden jubilee of diplomatic relations with Japan

The Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies organized a virtual dialogue session to celebrate the golden jubilee of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bahrain and Japan.

During the session, the participants reviewed the historical relations of cooperation and friendship between the two countries, and the development they are witnessing in various fields.

The participants discussed interest in developing the Bahraini-Japanese relations and exchanging experiences in the sectors of communications, information technology, space sciences, environment and renewable energy, especially considering the green growth strategy certified in Japan, the world’s third largest economy.

The Undersecretary for Political Affairs Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa affirmed the Kingdom’s pride under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in the strong relations with Japan on its golden jubilee.

He highlighted the progress and prosperity Bahrain’s is witnessing on different levels in the framework of friendship, mutual respect, and common concern for consolidating regional and global peace and security.

The Member of Parliament and former Minister of Defense and Foreign Affairs of Japan Kono Taro reviewed his country’s efforts in social and economic development and humanitarian aid, and its role in promoting peace and stability in the region, praising the friendly Bahraini-Japanese relations.

The Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain Miyamoto Masayuki affirmed his country’s keenness to enhance cooperation in all fields to achieve common interests of both countries and peoples, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.

The Bahraini Ambassador in Tokyo Ahmed Mohammed Al Doseri expressed his pride in the Bahraini-Japanese relations.
