MBMA launches fourth edition of Ramadan Ambassadors Council program

The Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies virtually launched the fourth edition of the Ramadan Ambassadors’ Council program. The program’s first session hosted the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr. Alastair Long, in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The session was moderated by the Director-General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa. She expressed her appreciation to the ambassador for his participation in program, and wished him further success.

The ambassador expressed gratitude to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and Dr. Shaikha Muneera for initiating annual programs which enhance international cooperation and cultural exchange. He also expressed his pride in participating in the Ramadan program.

Mr. Alastair Long praised the bilateral relations between Bahrain and the UK, highlighting their growth and shared commitment to enhancing them, while acknowledging historical ties.

He praised Bahraini diplomacy’s achievements and its impact on regional and international arenas, emphasizing strategic goals and visions for peace and prosperity for all.

It is worth mentioning that the first edition of the Ambassadors’ Council program was launched during the holy month of Ramadan in 2020. It is held annually as a platform that brings together accredited ambassadors to Bahrain and Bahraini diplomats. The program aims to enrich the knowledge of the participants by providing insights into the diverse experiences and expertise in the field of diplomatic work shared by the ambassadors.
