Foreign Minister praises Bahraini youth role in national development

Foreign Minister  Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, praised the lofty initiatives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to support and empower the youth, develop their professional and creative abilities, and qualify them to participate effectively in consolidating security and peacemaking and supporting the nation’s achievements in regional and international arenas.

This came in a dialogue session organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs  , on the “Aspirations of Bahraini Diplomatic Youth”, with the participation of senior officials, heads of diplomatic missions and sectors, and a number of young members of the diplomatic and consular corps, in the framework of Bahraini Youth Day, which falls on 25th March Every year.

Dr Al Zayani extended his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the unlimited support for young people.

He paid tribute to HM the King for allocating a national day for youth, to celebrate their achievements, appreciate their giving, and to motivate them to achieve more creativity, distinction and responsibility in serving the country, with the support of the representative of HM the King  for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs President The Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

He affirmed the Ministry’s pride in its promising young cadres of diplomats and administrators, expressing his best congratulations to them on their national day, and his appreciation for performing their duties efficiently, with dedication and sincerity, and their keenness on initiative and developing work tasks and their cooperation in a team spirit.

He praised the the commitment of the young diplomatic cadres to the principles of Bahraini foreign policy and its deep-rooted values spanning more than five decades in order to build the Kingdom’s relations with other countries, on the basis of friendship, mutual respect and constructive cooperation in the service of common interests.

During the dialogue session, he listended to the youth’s views and aspirations in the field of diplomatic work, stressing the ministry’s keenness to support them, refine their capabilities and provide them with expertise and knowledge by integrating them into the programs of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies and its specialized training courses, and qualifying them to assume the responsibility of honoring the nation’s representation.

They are Bahrain’s bright future, and the pillar and goal of its comprehensive and sustainable development renaissance, in light of the government’s work program and economic vision 2030.

The minister affirmed that the Kingdom is continuing to strengthen its position as a model in empowering youth and establishing the values of tolerance and human coexistence in light of the wise approach of His Majesty the King, and with the support of His Royal Highness, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, appreciating the successes of the Prime Minister’s Program for the Development of National Cadres, the National Program for the Development of the Youth and Sports Sectors (Istijba).

He commended  the contributions of the Hope Fund to support youth projects and initiatives, the Labor Fund “Tamkeen” and the world-leading initiatives by launching the “King Hamad Award for Empowering Youth to Achieve Goals” sustainable development”, and the inauguration of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence, the King Hamad Chair for Interreligious Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence at the Italian University of La Sapienza, and other initiatives that reflect the Kingdom’s appreciation for its youth cadres.

The Director General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies,. Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, affirmed the Academy’s keenness, with the support of he Minister, to continue its training programs in a way that contributes to attracting national competencies and talents within the framework of the foundational diplomatic program developing diplomatic cadres.

She stressed the importance of introducing them to the arts and skills of public speaking, negotiations, crisis management, protocol and etiquette, expanding language perceptions, and enhancing analytical and critical thinking, communication and external openness by implementing the International Diplomats Program “Dhiyafa” in its second edition, in conjunction with the Kingdom’s presidency of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue, and other courses and workshops within the framework of community partnership, and the use of local and global expertise.

Members of the diplomatic and consular corps from among the youth cadres expressed their thanks and appreciation to the minister for their invitation to participate in this dialogue session.

They commended his interest in their suggestions and visions, and his constant keenness to empower young people and enroll them in diplomatic missions, honor them and motivate them to be creative, enhance their professional, scientific and academic capabilities and consolidate the principle of diplomacy, the comprehensive development through self-motivation, adaptation and flexibility and enhancing competitiveness and sustainability in the face of challenges.

They pledged to continue working in the service of the country with all loyalty and sincerity in light of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty the King, and with the support and support of His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
