Foreign Minister pays tribute to Bahraini youth

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, expressed Bahrain’s pride in the creativity and contributions of Bahraini youth to the country’s comprehensive development process, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Dr. Al Zayani congratulated Bahraini youth on the occassion, commending their significant contributions to diplomatic achievements and sustainable development. This recognition aligns with government programmes, including the National Human Rights Plan (2022-2026), the National Youth Strategy, and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, the minister said.

He emphasised the government’s keenness to supporting and empowering youth, highlighting initiatives like the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Programme, the Hope Fund, and the King Hamad Award for Empowering Youth.

These efforts aim to develop the creative, scientific, and professional capabilities of youth, recognising them as valuable assets for the nation’s progress and future prosperity, he added.

Dr. Al Zayani also commended the initiatives led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

Dr, Al Zayani commended young members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions abroad for their dedicated efforts. He highlighted the role of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Academy for Diplomatic Studies in the capacity building of young diplomats. He also shed light on the success of the International Diplomats Program “Dhiyafa”, hosted by the academy annually, in enhancing interaction between young diplomats in the region and the world.
