The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa met at the Ministry’s General Court today, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Ivica Dacic.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed Mr. Dacic, whose visit reflects the distinguished level of friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Serbia and their joint desire to continue mutual coordinating towards several issues.
The Minister underlined the growth of relations between the two countries at all levels, stressing the Kingdom’s keenest to enhance bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Serbia in various political, economic and cultural fields, for the common interest of the two countries and their friendly peoples.
For his part, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia expressed his pleasure to have met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, affirming that his visit to the Kingdom reflects the keenness of the Republic of Serbia to enhance its relations with the Kingdom.
He also praised the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in maintaining the security and stability of the region, underlining the aspiration of the Republic of Serbia to continue exchanging official visits between the two countries. He also wished the Kingdom further progress and prosperity.
In this regard, he First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia extended an invitation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs to visit the Republic of Serbia.
The meeting saw the signing of a a memorandum of understanding between the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Diplomatic Academy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.
The meeting also touched on the most important regional and international developments and exchanged views on a number of issues of common concern.
