Foreign Minister lauds Bahraini youth’s achievements

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, has lauded Bahraini youth’s strides and achievements under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He expressed his pride in the leadership roles that youth hold in several national, regional and international forums, as the Kingdom of Bahrain marks the International Youth Day on August 12, which is being held this year under the theme ‘Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages’

He underlined the initiatives of His Majesty the King and the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to promote the empowerment of Bahraini youth, and support their role in national development.

He lauded in this regard the support of HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and that of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports’ First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs noted the innumerable Bahraini initiatives that enhance youth’s role in Team Bahrain, namely the PM Fellowship Programme, the National Programme to Develop the Youth and Sports Sector “Istijabah”, Hope Fund and Tamkeen.

He congratulated all Bahraini youth on this day, praising their contributions, namely in the diplomatic field. He further stressed the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s keenness to prepare Bahraini young diplomats through the programmes provided by the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies.

He further underscored that empowering youth and protecting their civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights is among the main priorities of the National Human Rights Plan (2022-2026).
