Foreign Minister inaugurates executive session for Heads of diplomatic missions

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, inaugurated virtually today the executive session for Heads of diplomatic missions and the ministry’s sectors. The event, in which a number of Heads of sectors and diplomatic missions are participating, was organised by the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed in his opening speech the Heads of diplomatic missions and sectors and congratulated those who have joined the diplomatic service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the royal trust bestowed on them, wishing all every success. 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of the session in informing the Heads of diplomatic missions and sectors about the latest developments in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ work, whether at the level of political relations or administrative organisation at the ministry. He underlined the important role of the session in promoting coordination between the Kingdom’s missions abroad and between the departments and sectors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He asserted that the diplomatic and consular work should be carried out with the one-team spirit and in complete harmony to serve the supreme interests of the Kingdom of Bahrain and enhance its international standing. He said a diplomat should shoulder the responsibility of building strong bridges of constructive cooperation with the world. 

The Foreign Minister also expressed appreciation for the distinguished efforts made by the academy, headed by the Executive Director of Mohammed Bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, Dr. Shaikha Munira bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, in holding and organising this session which will constitute a platform to exchange expertise and experiences between the Heads of missions and sectors.
