Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, chaired the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies (MBMA), which was held virtually today in the presence of the Board members.
HE. Dr. Al-Zayani expressed utmost thanks and appreciation for the support accorded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The minister conveyed to the Board members the greetings of Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, and his appreciation for the efforts undertaken by the Board of Trustees to enhance the role of the academy in developing diplomatic work and upgrading the capabilities of the ministry’s employees through intensive training courses.
The Minister also noted the pivotal role played by the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies in the field of diplomatic training, the development of training programmes, and the holding of workshops and specialised courses necessary to develop and qualify members of the diplomatic and consular corps
Topics on the meeting’s agenda were discussed and a report on the academy’s progress was presented by the MBMA’s Executive Director, Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa.
The Board members expressed their appreciation for the academy’s efforts and active role in promoting the diplomatic work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
