The Director General of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies, Her Excellency Ambassador Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, expressed her pride in the achievements made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of diplomatic training, thanks to the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support and follow-up of the government headed by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
This came during her participation in the International Forum on Diplomatic Training in its fiftieth edition, which is held from October 8-11 in the capital Podgorica in Montenegro.
In her speech during the dialogue session entitled: (Creating Competencies and Preparing for Success), Dr. Shaikha Muneera touched on the concept of diplomatic competence in all its aspects and the basic skills needed by a successful diplomat, which enables him to deal efficiently with political and geopolitical changes and challenges, praising the success of the Foundational Diplomatic Program, and the results it has achieved that contribute to strengthening the presence of Bahraini diplomats in the various diplomatic missions of the Kingdom of Bahrain, refining their skills and enabling them to perform their tasks efficiently.
She also highlighted the “Dhiyafa” program, which is organized by the Academy every year, which attracts diplomats from different countries to learn about Bahrain and its history, heritage, culture, and various aspects, and which won first place in the Government Innovation Competition “Fikra,” stressing that this program is considered one of the success stories of the many participating diplomats.
The Director General expressed her aspiration for the academy’s participation in the upcoming editions of the International Forum on Diplomatic Training, as it is a unique international platform that brings together regional and international academic experts, experienced in the field of diplomatic work, in theoretical and practical aspects.
Since its establishment in 2016, the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies has been an active member of this forum, which was established in 1972 and includes nearly 60 diplomatic institutes and academies.
