Executive Director of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Shaikha Muneera bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, met Egypt’s Assistant Foreign Minister and Director of the Diplomatic Institute at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Sameh Aboul Enein.
Dr. Shaikha Muneera expressed pride and appreciation of the brotherly relations between Bahrain and Egypt and reviewed ways of enhancing cooperation between the diplomatic institutes in the two countries. She also held a meeting with the Manager of the Multilateral Diplomacy Programme at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Rabih El-Haddad. The meeting discussed a number of possible future opportunities to enhance cooperation between the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research. The Executive Director of the Diplomatic Institute also met the Chairman of the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue, Dr. Hanif Al-Qassim in the presence of Ambassador Idriss Jazairy who praised Bahrain’s pioneering experience in education and patriotism as well as the cooperation between the Centre and the Kingdom. They stressed the importance of reinforcing cooperation to achieve the goals of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in field of capacity building and the empowerment of young diplomats. Webster University in Geneva hosted the Executive Director of the Diplomatic Institute to highlight the role of women in the field of diplomacy, the challenges facing them and Bahrain’s efforts in this regard.
