Shaikh Khalid bin Ali highlighted that Bahrain’s national security framework is based on the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and guided by the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister. He also noted the keenness of Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, and Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, to further strengthen and advance the national security system.
Shaikh Khalid bin Ali said that Bahrain Diplomatic Day provides an opportunity to highlight the close integration between diplomatic work and national security, noting that diplomacy is a fundamental pillar in safeguarding the Kingdom’s strategic interests through building international partnerships and ensuring coordination between political, defence, and security roles to enhance security and stability. He underscored the role of Bahrain’s embassies and diplomatic missions abroad in effectively representing the Kingdom, strengthening relations with other countries, clearly conveying national positions, and monitoring relevant regional and international developments. He also noted the importance of strengthening coordination and unified efforts among all diplomatic missions to maximise the impact of diplomatic work in supporting decision-making and advancing Bahrain’s interests and standing on the international stage.
