DANAT receives International Diplomats Program “Dhiyafa” Participants

The Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT) has hosted the third International Diplomats Program (IDP) ‘Dhiyafa’.

The program is organized by the Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies and it has welcomed members from 27 countries.

Director of Marketing and Communications at Danat Layal Boushehri took the delegation on a tour of the Danat Institute.

She gave a presentation about the history of pearling in Bahrain and its significant role in the Kingdom’s economy.

The tour included information about maintaining Bahrain’s pearling industry, fieldwork training, pearl testing and authentication, and a gemstone faceting demonstration.

Boushehri briefed the delegation on Danat’s role in carrying out the nation’s strategy to revive the pearl industry in Bahrain and its initiatives in the fields of training and pearl and gemstone certification services.

The delegation was also introduced to Danat program and its initiatives and efforts in collaboration with educational institutions, NGOs, and others.
