Academy launches Diplomatic Studies Certificate

The Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies today announced the launch of the first Certificate in Diplomatic Studies.

The first version of the certificate targets the Foreign Ministry’s diplomats who haven’t participated in the Foundation Programs for Diplomats.

The degree also concerns public sector employees working in foreign affairs and international cooperation in various governmental entities in Bahrain.

The online evening program, which lasts for nine weeks, will start on June 7 and run until August 6.

The program offers a series of intensive interactive workshops and lectures via videoconference, in the fields of politics and diplomacy, in addition to various concepts and skills , such as effective communication, diplomatic language, and the art of negotiation.

The Certificate in Diplomatic Studies is aimed at candidates aged below 45, fluent in English both speaking and writing. A recommendation from the employer is required.

This program stems from the keenness of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies to enhance the diplomatic capabilities and skills of Bahrainis from various governmental entities.

The certificate is free of charge; however, registration is required.

Applicants who meet the conditions must fill in the form for the program on the website of the Academy “www.mbma.gov.bh” from Thursday until May 31.
