The Kingdom of Bahrain assumes the presidency of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue for 2021-2022 under the theme of “Post-Pandemic Green Recovery in the Health Field.”

The Kingdom of Bahrain joins the ‘Artemis Accords’ for international space collaboration.

His Holiness Pope Francis, Pope of the Catholic Church makes a historic visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain at the invitation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The Kingdom hosts the Bahrain Forum “East-West Dialogue for Human Coexistence", under the patronage of His Majesty the King, and with the participation of His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al Tayyib, Al Azhar Grand Imam, Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, and His High Holiness Pope Francis, Pope of the Catholic Church, and key global intellectual and religious leaders.

The Kingdom of Bahrain hosts the meetings of the 146th General Assembly of the International Parliamentary Union (IPU), with the participation of approximately 2,000 international parliamentarians and observers.

The ‘National Human Rights Plan (2022-2026)’ is adopted by the Cabinet. The Plan consists of 17 goals and 102 projects focusing on civil, political, economic, and social rights.

The preparatory meeting for the 33rd session of the regular summit of the League of Arab States was held at the level of Foreign Ministers in the Kingdom of Bahrain, chaired by HE Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa chairs the meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level in its 33rd session, which was hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain in Sakhir Palace, and which adopted the ‘Bahrain Declaration.’
