Accomplishing Objectives

1969 - 1974

With its flag raised proudly at the United Nations, the Kingdom of Bahrain celebrated its official position as a member of the international community in 1971.

This marked an important milestone in the Kingdom’s contemporary history, one of which was realized approximately two years after the establishment of the Directorate of Foreign Affairs within the Kingdom’s government.

With the Kingdom of Bahrain’s official recognition, the Directorate of Foreign Affairs transformed into the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and embarked on a journey, cementing old friendships and forging new ones.
